I used the same paper that I used on my blocks. Which is nice because they tie the room together.
This is my first banner and I am excited with how it turned out the only thing I would do differently is that I would back this paper with a hard card stock. It is really flimsy paper. 
I used hemp to tie the triangles together. I also had them laminated so they will keep longer. But next time like I said I would use card stock and modge podge.
