Starters

Here is an example of what I will post. This is what I did last week. (Ratings are based on a scale of 1-5. 5 being awesome)

German Pancakes (aka Hootinanies & Monster)
Heat oven to 400 degrees
1 1/4 cup Milk
1 cup Flour
2-3 shakes of Salt
Mix
Put 5 Tbsp of butter in a 9x13 pan and let the butter melt in the oven
While butter is melting add
7 eggs to your mixture
Mix and pour into pan. Cook for 15 minutes

***Kirk and I love these we eat these all the time and would rate them a 5. We eat all the leftovers!***

7 Layer Jell-o
4 (3 oz) jellos - lime, orange, lemon, strawberry (or other)
2 cups sour cream
1 cup of sugar
2 packets of plain Knox gelatin
You will also need about 7 hours because each layer needs to firm up before you add the next layer.
1. start with Lime jello - dissolve the contents of the pkg into 1 cup boiling water. Then add 1/2 cup cold water. Pour into 9x13 pan & put in fridge until firm
2. white layer next: mix 2/3 cup of milk with 1/3 cup of sugar and bring to a boil. mix 2/3 packet of plain Knox gelatin with a 2 T of water, then add it to the milk/sugar mixture. Add 2/3 cup of sour cream and whip until creamy. Let it cool a little, then pour on top of the firm jello layer & refrigerate until firm.
3. Repeat step 1 except use Orange jello.
4. Repeat step 2.
5. Repeat step 1 with Lemon jello
4. Repeat step 2.
7. Repeat step 1 with Strawberry jello.

***Kirk loves Jell-o so I decided to try this recipie out. It is really good especially with Cool Whip. It does take a long time but it might be worth it. rated: 5***

Forsyth's Breadstick Recipie
1 1/4-1 1/2 cup warm water
1 Tbsp Yeast
a wee bit of Sugar (like you are feeding fish)
stir and wait 10 mins or until yeast is poofy. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
add:
1/4-1/2 cup of sugar
3 cups of flour
a heaping tsp salt
mix vigorously (the more gluten the better)
oil cookie sheet (vegetable oil)
Spead dough out on cookie sheet.
Place toppings (i.e garlic salt, pepperjack cheese, parmesan cheese, or if you are making pizza and topping)
bake for 10-15 mins or until sides are golden

***I gave you this recipie just as I got it :) Kirk and I love to do garlic salt and pepperjack cheese. These never last long. Rated: 5 ***

Goolaush
1/2 cup of macaroni per person
Cook macaroni and drain then add
1 small can of tomato juice per person
Bring to a boil for a few minutes
Pour into bowls and add Cheese

***Easy Quick recipie. I never had this until I met Kirk. It is one of his favorites. He rates it a 5 I rate it a 4***

Hamburger Casserole
1 lb hamburger
1 can Tomato soup (or Cream of Mushroom)
mashed potatoes
1 medium onion
1 can Green beans
Grated Cheese
Fry up Hamburger with onion until well done. Pour into casserole dish. Mis with soup and green beans. Put mashed potatoes on top and spread till it covers. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 mins.
(You can also use canned biscuts on top)

***We ate all the leftovers which means it is good we never do that. Rated: 5***
Please try the recipies and let me know if they were a hit or miss. Also if you have any good recipies for me to try I would appreciate it. The next posts will only have one or two so you won't be as overwhelmed. Enjoy! Bon Apetit!

Mom made the hamburger recipe for us today and Krista made it for her kids. This is a good idea. How about the tamale casserole with cornbread on top. Jeremy loves it. I'll try to find the recipe
