Poppy Seed Bread

1 package active dry yeast
1 1/4 cups warm water
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp poppy seed
2 Tbsp shortening
2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add sugar poppy seed shortening salt and 1 1/2 cups of flour. Blend 30 seconds on low, scraping bowl constantle
Beat 2 minutes on medium. Stir in remaining flour until smooth. Scrape off sides cover and let rise until about double (about 30 mins)
Grease bread pan. Stir down batter by stirring. pour into pan cover and let rise about 40 minutes
heat oven to 375 bake until loaves sound hollow when tapped. 30-35 minutes. Remove loaves from pan and brush with butter let cool

*It tasted like regular bread to me but it was good*
