Italian Beef Sandwiches
3/4 lb ground Beef
2 Tbsp dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
3/4 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp fennel seed
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/8-1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1 Tbsp water
-medium bowl: mix beef , bread crumbs, milk, oregano, fennel, garlic, red pepper, shape into 4 patties 1/2 inch thick
-In an 8 inch nonstick skilled (med-heat) add onion, bell pepper & water. cover and cook 5 mins stirring occassionally, until veggies are crisp/tender. remove veggies and keep warm.
-Wipe skillet clean, heat again (med-heat) add patties, cook 10-12 mins turning once until no longer pink.
-serve on buns
*My patties wouldn't stick together so I just cooked it like hamburger with the onions and peppers*
