Easter Wrap-Up

It has been a really good month for crafts. There was a lot to do and not enough time to do it but this is what I was able to accomplish.

Some of our Easter Traditions are:
We color boiled eggs... My husband has a tradition where they roll said eggs down hills. It's pretty fun. My family however eats the said eggs....delicious
We always do an Easter egg hunt
The Easter Bunny hides the baskets all around the house and we have to find them in the morning.
My friend Abby has a tradition where the Easter bunny leaves them clues to find their baskets.
Most importantly though we remember why we celebrate Easter. We remember what our Savior Jesus Christ did for us! (Read More)

Easter Printable

Isn't that the cutest printable. I think it is the cutest one I have seen all season so I had to have it. The stuff around it is just stuff that has accumulated over the years! Thank you to the wonderful crafter that made this printable and allowed me to have it...However since I have printed it I have switched computers and cannot find your site on either computer... I know it was Laddiedahladdiedo something like that. If it is you or you know who it is please let me know so I can give proper credit

DIY: Easter Egg Plant Decor

For lack of a better name that is what these are being called :)
Started with of course stuff I already had. Some left over Easter eggs and some skewers, tissues, and some paint
Some of the eggs already had holes in the bottom. However, they are not in the center so on 2 of mine I just pierced the bottom with a knife and stuck the skewer in.

I did just a coat of paint because I didn't want the original color to show through.

Then I modge podeged my Easter tissues onto them.

And stuck them in my plants. I know I could've bought some at the store but that costs money... besides I think they are pretty cute.

DIY: HOP board

After making our cute Easter Letters I had all these cute scraps of paper that I didn't want to throw away. I found a scrap piece of wood and set to work. I patch worked the paper together and then modge podged it.

I cut out some letters and some bunnies on the cricut. (Thanks again Lissa and Aimee, it really is quite convenient) I put the letters on some spring colored paper cute around them then applied them to the board with some (not sure what they are called) foam sticky things to make them pop.. (please let me know what they are called...)

Sometimes I am just so pleasantly surprised at how things turn out.

DIY: Easter letters

Crafting with friends is so much more fun than crafting by yourself. Right? Even if it does take 2 hours longer than necessary! That's the fun of it. But, seriously check out these cute Easter letters.

We basically painted the skewers white. Cut out the letters on the Cricut and put each of them on some cute paper, embellished, and then taped the skewer on the back.

Super easy but also super fun!

This is my partner in crime. Alyssa. She looks familiar huh? That is because she is my crafting buddy, or was. She is moving...sad day for me. Who will I craft with now? Who will have fun laughing at our 1st tries that didn't turn out so good? or let me copy her cute ideas? Or tell me when mine really looks bad? or lets me borrow all her cute stuff? Sounds like she should be doing this blog huh? I know. Anyway enough rambling I guess I can just say that I will miss her a lot and wish her the best!

You knew these were coming right? I did say I would probably do them for every holiday. Lucky for me they had Styrofoam eggs...Cute huh?

DIY: Easter Egg Wreath

Once again My craft budget ran out.. Lucky for me, I save pretty much everything! So, this craft was made entirely by stuff I bought last year. I saw this here. I loved it. However, since I was out of money I had to use what I had. I only had a few eggs so I made my wreath much smaller.

And the pink grass in hers is adorable but I had to use green. All my eggs were different sizes and stuff but it worked.. I love it.

Probably my favorite Easter Craft so Far!

DIY: Button Easter Egg!

I saw this idea here....Hers is way more classy than mine. I didn't have enough buttons of one color to do it like that so this is what I did.
Took some cardboard and some left over black material (from the aforementioned t-shirt blanket I am making) covered the cardboard
Then I glued on the buttons. Make sure if you plan to sew the buttons on don't get glue in the holes of the buttons also, you may want to sew on the buttons to the material then glue the material to the cardboard, just saying it would probably be easier.

I didn't have a picture frame and the back of this looked terrible with all the thread so I put some ribbon in the middle and glued another piece of covered cardboard to the back.
I put a little bit of lace around the edges, it needed a little something and this was all that I had. It is a little different.
But every time I walk past it it makes me smile.... It is growing on me.
