Halloween Party

My sister Kim & I planned a small Halloween party for my family. We had so much fun so even though Halloween is over I thought I would post this up so you can pin it for next year.

First of all I wanted to show you our family Halloween picture. There was a family that lived next door to us and every year they would all pick a theme and dress up like that so as long as our kids will let us we will dress up in themes. This year we were Barney, Bamm Bamm, and Betty Rubble. Lucky for me My sister-in-law had the Betty costume and my Brother-in-law had the Barney Costume. So they only one I had to make was Bamm Bamm. I was pretty proud of how it turned out. My secret... Felt and hot glue. Seriously the only stitch I made was the elastic around the waist. He didn't want his picture and he wouldn't hold his club.

Now for the food.
Bone Bread sticks. take Pillsbury bread sticks cut the ends a little then roll the ends to make bones. Then cook. Deviled eyes. Just make some deviled eggs and add a slice of olive for the eye.

String cheese, cream cheese, and green pepper.
cut the string cheese in half. My sister carved knuckle lines in each finger. put a dab of cream cheese to hole on the small piece of pepper.Worms in dirt. Chocolate Pudding and crushed up Oreos topped with some gummy worms.Little smoky sausages wrapped in biscuits.

Any kind of soup. We did cheddar broccoli.

We froze some fake spiders into the ice cube trays earlier in the day.

Fudge striped cookies a little bit of frosting and a Hershey kiss make some witch hats.Lime Jell-o and some small bug gummies.
It seems like a lot of food but I can assure that we ate it all. (I have a big family) We took some group pictures, played pin the nose on the pumpkin, and eat some donuts off a string. It was so much fun. What did you do for your party?

Friends Featured: Broomstick Goodie Bag.

My seriously cute, crafty friend Aimee, made these cute Broomstick Goodie Bags and brought one over for Kyden.
Aimee is a mommy to a cute and smart little boy and a sseriously cute little girl. How she has time to do cute things like this is beyond me but I am sure glad she does!
I actually didn't let him have it because it was so cute and I used it as decoration for a long time.

I decided that it might be time for me give him the goodies but I couldn't part with the broomstick I love it!! So i made a small slit int he back of the bag. God the goodies out put some tissues back in a taped it shut...
What?! It is a seriously cute Halloween decoration that I didn't have to make...

Kyden loved all of the goodies in it.

Their Pin, My Way #3

Remember this cute pumpkin Book?
The other day at DI I bought me a book so I could make my self one.I just used scissors to cut this book it was a pain in the neck and I didn't get it shaped very well. But I consoled myself by saying that pumpkins come in all shapes and sizes too... Right?
I used some orange ink and rubbed the edges then I burned a few with a lighter. I like the way it turned out.
Such and easy cute fall decoration.

Halloween Crayon Picture

I went to a Women's Day Out with my sister up North and they had these really cute pictures and luckily my mom had purchased a couple. They are so cute and really easy to do. It is also such a fun idea.

We got a piece of muslin and traced a cute picture onto it. (We also got a Thanksgiving & Christmas one. I will post those later)

Then you take some regular crayons and color of the material.You need to color a little darker than you need it because it will get a little lighter when you are finished.
After you are done coloring put some paper on top of it and use your iron to seal the crayons. Use cotton setting no steam.I'm not positive how long I left it one but I did it until the crayon stopped transferring to the paper on top.Then you can either embroider or use Marker to trace the outlines.
I am not a huge sewer and I like to get things done pretty fast so I went for the sharpie.
Crazy how much the marker adds to the picture.Then I just put it int he frame. I loved how it turned out.
Isn't that fun idea? I bet kids would love it and I am pretty sure you could use any fabric.Happy Haunting

Modge Podge Balls: Halloween

You didn't think I would forget about these did you?
Especially for one of my favorite Holidays.
These might be my favorite.
Probably because the napkins said trick or treat so I worked it out to where the balls read that too.

Also I love the colors.

Trick-or-Treat Wreath

I went to another Craft Night with

the Crafty Wives!
It is always so funt o get together with a bunch of girls an be creative.
We made this super cute Trick or Treat Wreath.
supplies:
Wreath Form
burlap
variety of colored fabrics
wood block with two holes drilled in the sides.
paint
vinyl

The other nice thing about going to craft night is that they have everything ready for you!
(My board was wet with paint....so it isn't pictured)

Tie 2 burlap strips then 2 fabric strips, square knots, around the wreath. Overlap the material to make the wreath fuller.
Then trim the long edges, maneuver and fluff the strips until they look how you want.Attach board to wreath 2 strips of fabric.
The burlap is seriously messy so be careful with your wet paint on the board.So fun and so cute!I know it clashes with the green on the wall but for now that is where it will stay but it turned out really cute huh?

Happy Halloween Banner (Printables)

I wanted to do a Halloween Banner. I made the letters on my Computer Scrapbook Program and made a really cute one I think. If you think it is cute too. I have added them at the bottom and you can copy and print them to your hearts desire. This is what I did to hang it.
I got some mini clothespins and I painted them Black and White. I found some really cute Halloween buttons at the store and glued them on. I tried a few ways but the paper I printed my letters out on ended up being pretty heavy so I had to clip the letter onto 3 pieces of Yarn and it works pretty good.

I put a yarn blob on the ends to cover the tape and put a spider in. That easy and I love the way it looks. Hope you enjoy it too.
